My last post was Nov 1. So here’s the rest of my 2011, bullet-point style, courtesy of my Twitter timeline, with no thanks to my bad memory:
NOVEMBER
- 6 - Maxt Out Dance Competition with Beat Jerkeez; this will go down as one of the best experiences in my dancing career. The music tech played the wrong mix. And I speak for myself when I say no matter how many years of stage-time I’ve garnered, nothing would have prepared me for that blow. Regardless, I am so thankful to have gone through that experience, and more so with the Jerkz. Only we would find such humor in such a fucked up situation. http://youtu.be/TNTu1orv-sE
- 7 - Bittersweet new office space. When someone moves out, another moves up.
- 19 - Occupy a Fucking Venue: Kendrick Lamar @ Music Box - This kid is ridiculous. And the Music Box is now dead.. RIP :(
- 21 - Took my first listen to Faimkill’s THREE DAYS IN THE DESERT. No words, just listen. All personal conflicts and controversy aside, it’s too good not to share: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?vigc9amaolbtaa0
- 23 - Occupy a Fucking Venue: Murs @ HOB Sunset - always a good time.
- 27 - My life gets stolen. My company laptop, my company/personal phone, one company external hard drive, two personal hard drives, purse (from the Philippines) and wallet with all my cards. All my work/personal contacts, music, photos, work documents (from 2007 - present), my time, my money, my hard work, my memories, and then some, GONE. Still can’t do anything but thank the person that jacked all my shit. It takes a lot of effort and strength to not curse the fuck out of him/her, but to turn a cheek and move forward with the blessings I still have—which are worth so much more than what they took from me. Not to mention, it’s probably karma from my juvenile kleptomaniac phase finally making its round lol.
DECEMBER
- 3 - The Bridge Dance Competition with Beat Jerkeez. Arrived with one mission: redeem ourselves from the debacle that was Maxt Out. And we did just that!
- 6 - Choreography Project submission for Beat Jerkeez. I actually made a piece, remembered it, and performed it half-decently. A win in my eyes, especially since I’ve always thought of myself as completely incapable. Plus, for as long as I can remember, I’ve been wanting someone to choreograph to this song. http://youtu.be/YEZseJ1Wuq8
- 7 - Packing and moving begins. From Brea to Monterey Park. From 780 sq ft to approx 200 sq ft. From no roommates to three. And at the time I didn’t realize it, but most importantly: from happy to happier.
- 8 - Occupy a Fucking Venue: Erykah Badu @ The Wiltern - simply beautiful.
- 12 - Goodbye Brea. http://t.co/RKG86Gx, at Crepe de Paris across the street from my apt, 8pm breaktime from packing. Made two solo trips that night/morning, loading and unloading in the rain, finished at 2am, and arrived at [my new] home to this: http://yfrog.com/nw8weubj <3
- 21 - So begins my Christmas shopping adventure and dwindling bank/credit card accounts. All in the name of the reason for the season!
- 25 - Happy birthday, baby Jesus! Full day of family and friends and lots of love.
- 29-31 - Vegas for New Years. A trip, in every sense of the word. Good times, interesting times, here’s to future times.
And in between and sometimes at the same time: plenty of work, dance, and drunken fun.

My second tweet of 2012: “if the past 72 hours is any indication to how the rest of 2012 is gonna trend, I’m in for a crazy year #herewego”.
By far, it’s been just that. Happy New Year!
